Annika Lenz is UCLA-bound

UCLA’s swimming and diving team added even more talent last week, as Poly’s three-time CIF springboard diving champion, Annika Lenz, became the latest Poly athlete to sign her national letter of intent to the national powerhouse. Annika will enter the 2013 season looking to complete her high school career with CIF championship sweep, which would be the seventh consecutive victory for the Lenz family.

 

This past Saturday, cross country capped off their stellar season with two inspiring individual performances from Michael Caughron and Evan Gancedo at the CIF State Finals. Evan battled through an ankle injury earlier in the week and valiantly finished in the top 30 out of 180 runners. Michael had another amazing race and closed extremely well. He finished 10th in the state with a time of 16:06 and earned All-California honors, as he clocked Poly's second fastest time ever at Woodward Park.
