Which Poly tradition or activity do you look forward to each school year?
Each school year, I look forward to participating in the annual Poly Dance Show. We work all semester to create a performance that we can share with our friends, family, and classmates, and it’s genuinely my favorite time of the year. Collaborating with peers while exploring my creativity has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my time here at Poly. I love seeing the Poly community come together to support each other, and the energy in the room during the show is incredible. The dance show has not only helped me grow as a dancer but also as a person, teaching me the value of teamwork, resilience, and self-expression. It’s a reminder of how special it is to be part of a community that lifts each other up and celebrates our creative journeys together.

What is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is definitely Arden Lawn. Whether it’s collaborating in groups, playing games outside of class, enjoying a waterslide during Rivalry Week, or simply soaking up the sun after a long test, Arden is the perfect place to take a break from the classroom, relax, connect with friends, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Taking a moment to enjoy the fresh air helps me reset and recharge. The lively atmosphere and shared experiences make Arden Lawn a special part of campus life, where connections are made and memories are created. It’s the ideal spot to unwind, have fun, and feel part of the community.

What has been your favorite class at Poly?
Poly Enriched Chemistry. The combination of challenging yet engaging material kept me consistently interested in the subject. I loved how we explored each topic not only through traditional lectures and textbooks but also through hands-on, interactive labs that pushed us beyond the standard curriculum. Some of my favorite memories on campus are working with friends to solve lab challenges while listening to a playlist we created as a class. Mrs. Barnes, the teacher, played a key role in making the class so memorable. She pushed me to work hard while encouraging me to be the best version of myself. Her constant support, the fun classroom environment, and the opportunity for deeper exploration are why Poly Enriched Chemistry was my favorite class at Poly.
