“Truth in Society” is a panel discussion featuring a political researcher, New York Times investigative reporter, and a college art professor. In our era in which entities ranging from individuals to governments have ever greater power to produce and disseminate propaganda, “truth” can be divorced from “fact.” In this urgent conversation, the panelists will deconstruct what we think we know about truth and equip us to resist disinformation by discussing truth as a tool in journalism and as a weapon in domestic politics.
