Olympic swimmer John Naber speaks to Poly student-athletes

Yesterday, the SALC hosted an event featuring 1976 four-time gold medalist Olympic swimmer, sports broadcaster, motivational speaker, writer, and former Poly parent, John Naber. Naber not only won four gold medals in the ’76 Montreal Summer Olympic games, but they were won in world-record time. One of his world records stood for seven years. He came to address Poly’s student-athletes on his “Gold Medal Process." Naber shares that ordinary people can do extraordinary things in their chosen area of expertise and touched on a few of the steps of “The Gold Medal Proces." It was an inspiring and invigorating talk about the importance of honing in on a dream, working hard for that dream, and the ability to overcome adversity.
