Dates: June 2017 (12 days; exact dates to be determined)
Students eligible (grade level for 2018-19): Rising sophomores (Class of 2021), juniors (Class of 2020), and seniors (Class of 2019) who are enrolled in Spanish II or higher
Projected cost: $3,300-$3,500

Poly is pleased to announce the school’s first Spanish language exchange program. Partnering with a prestigious school in Cordoba, Argentina, students will have the opportunity to experience Argentinean life and culture through a homestay with their exchange student’s family. Through travels to amazing and unique sites, hands-on activities, school visits, a joint community service project, and time with host families, students will gain an appreciation for Argentina’s rich and complex history, cultural diversity, and explore past and current challenges. After the homestay in beautiful Córdoba, the program will end with a visit to the impressively evolving metropolis of Buenos Aires. This is part of an exchange and thus when the Cordoba school visits Poly, our traveling Poly students will each host a student from Cordoba. For those students wanting to work on their Spanish language fluency while deepening their knowledge of Argentinean history and culture, this travel program provides ample and authentic opportunities.
