This class will focus on using graphic organizers to become a more effective thinker, writer, and life learner. Graphic organizers are powerful tools that can be used at all levels across many disciplines. We will focus our learning on the circle map (used to brainstorm topics), the bubble-map (for describing in detail), the double bubble map (to compare/contrast), the bridge-map (for analogies), the flow map (to sequence), the tree map (for categorizing) the multi-flow map (used to analyze cause-effect relationships), and the brace map (used to break a physical object into its components). Students will apply these organizers to topics of high interest, making the learning process fun, informative, and educational.
