Amazing fact: Birds can fly! Compared to humans, birds have so many unique characteristics (for example, feathers, beaks, webbed feet, super-sharp vision) and live in such a variety of places (land, air, aquatic and marine). This course will explore all of the distinctive features and skills that birds have and the unique anatomy specific to birds,. Students will become familiar with different categories of birds, and relationship to other animals, particularly reptiles. There will be lots of student-led discussion, visuals and hand-on activities in this class.
