In this class, students will develop and strengthen their writing skills. Using a variety of prompts, they will practice writing the different forms used in school. Students will write a range of essay styles (comparison and contrast, persuasive, narrative, analytical, literary response, etc.). Grammar and structure will be addressed based on the needs of the particular group of students in class. Students will have writing assignments in class and as homework. Peer editing and teacher conferencing will be used to provide steady feedback over the course of the session.
