The impact of World War II had a global effect that is still felt in the twenty-first century. The students in this class will be engaged to develop their critical thinking skills while learning about this critical time in history. They will explore the political and military history of the war. They will learn about the strategies, tactics, and the technological advancements of the various major powers. The students will play board games that will help them understand the air, sea, land and logistical challenges of the Axis and Allied forces. Finally, they will explore how the establishment of the United Nations, and the beginning of the Cold war continues to influence our politics to this day. This class is designed to provide a broad overview of the key events and consequences of this war.
