This fast-paced course will cover all topics of a basic Algebra II course, as well as some pre-calculus topics. Students will focus on polynomials, systems of equations, matrices, complex numbers, linear functions, conic sections, exponential functions, logarithms, trigonometry, probability, counting principles, sequences, series, solving systems, and transformations. Because of the amount of material needed to be covered, this course will actually run from 1:50 pm to 4:30 pm. This course will also provide a good review of the SAT Math Level II topics. Students should expect to complete an hour or more of homework every night. This is also the course used by Polytechnic students to accelerate to the advanced math track in the upper school.
