North Campus Front Gate Changes

Poly took a step forward this month by automating its front gates, enhancing the safety and security of the North Campus. This upgraded system provides access to the campus for service and deliveries but also keeps these gates closed and locked from roughly 8:30 a.m. to about 3:30 p.m. every school day. People arriving during these hours must enter the main office and sign in.

During these hours, all school visitors must continue to check in at the front desk using the school’s visitor management system. The visitor management system allows campus security to visually identify all visiting adults on campus by wearing a visitor sticker. The door to the front office in front of the gate remains unlocked and open to receive visitors. Please do not attempt to open the gate manually.

The gates' versatility means they can be easily locked and secured once all evening or weekend activities on campus are completed for the day and just as easily reopened when the need arises. With questions, please contact Dave Yamaoka.
