Poly Wins NCTE, Green Feather, and Scholastic Awards in English

Five juniors nominated to apply to the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards contest received writing awards. (Following the NCTE rules, Poly could nominate up to five students to apply to this nationwide contest.) Emily W. ’25 received a Merit award, Ennio S. ’25 received an Excellent award, Ronen P. ’25 & Eden G. ’25 received Superior awards, and Greg P. ’25 received a First Class award.

Jujube H.’s ’27 short story "Shattered Sea" was honored as a 2024 Green Feather Honorable Mention. A celebrity guest read her story at Vroman’s on May 11 during Pasadena LitFest.
