Two Poly Golfers Qualify for CIF Playoffs

Poly Athletics is sending two student athletes to the CIF-SS playoffs next week. Annabelle C. ’25 was Co-Medalist of the Prep League Final shooting an even par 72, while Cici Liu ’26 shot 76 to tie for third place at the Prep League Final. Both students advance to the Regional CIF Individual Tournament next week, Wednesday, Oct 25 at Los Robles Greens Golf Course. 

“Both girls played exceptionally well! This is the third time in three years that Annabelle has qualified and the second time in two years that Cici has qualified for CIF,” Coach Dale Rasmussen said. 

 

The CIF Individual Qualifying Tournament field has only become tougher over the years. There are many great players in Southern California. If the students finish in the top 24 of the Regional CIF Individual Tournament, they will advance to the CIF-SS Individual Championship on  Thursday, November 2.
