The 108th Poly Pet and Hobby Show

Get ready for an epic day at the 108th Poly Pet and Hobby Show—it’s going to be unforgettable!
This legendary event has been a Poly tradition since 1916, and it's back bigger, bolder, and better than ever! Join us on April 25, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. on Babcock Field for an action-packed day of outdoor carnival games, an adorable dog show, service learning opportunities, and an indoor wonderland filled with hobby and small pet displays put together by our talented students. It’s the perfect family-friendly day out—and guess what? It’s FREE for all! Alumni, incoming families, neighbors, and current Poly families—everyone is invited!

This year’s Poly Pet and Hobby Show is dedicated to supporting our Poly family and friends affected by the Eaton Fire. We’re honored to feature select Altadena-based food vendors, as well as Pasadena Humane, which continues to provide shelter and care for over 300 pets while their owners navigate this challenging time. Join us in celebrating community, resilience, and the love we share for our pets.

This year’s festival brings some seriously delicious eats, with food vendors like Dog Haus, Teri & Yaki, Nona Rosa Pizza, Manny’s Tacos and Rodney’s Ribs. And, sweet tooths, get excited for our dessert vendors including Sungold Ice Pops, along with sweet and savory popcorn from Popcorn Heaven – there’s something for everyone, guaranteed to leave you with a full belly and a happy heart.

The Dog Show will be hosted by none other than Brady Frome (Performing Arts Chair and Lower School/Middle School Drama Teacher) and Alex Velasco (Lower School Dean of Student Life, Assistant Director of Admission Lower School) – so bring your pup-loving energy! And don't forget to check out the dunk tank—it’s the ultimate showdown where you get to dunk your favorite teacher or faculty member!

Each grade (K-8) will be bringing their A-game with a fun carnival booth or interactive game, and Upper School students will be there to help out and enjoy all the food and fun! Make sure to swing by the Express Yourself Zone, where students can color their hair, get temporary tattoos, or have some face-painting fun. And don’t miss the Fun Zone, with super speedy slides for everyone to race down! We’re also bringing back the awesome Obstacle Course for current and incoming kindergarteners—it’s going to be a blast!
In our Service Learning Zone, guests can make expression bracelets and motivational messages for local youth served by Young & Healthy, as well as assemble hygiene kits to be distributed to communities in need.

The Sweet Shops Zone, run by Middle and Upper School students and parents, will be serving up snow cones, cotton candy, and refreshing drinks—all for just $1!

This is the event you won’t want to miss! Come out and celebrate the Poly spirit, enjoy some great food, play games, and make memories with friends and family. It’s going to be a day of pure fun, so mark your calendars and get ready to join the party! 🎉🐾🎨
