Send your well wishes to Stuart Freed!

At the end of each school year, we bid farewell to teachers and staff members who are leaving Poly. The Poly Alumni Office invites you to send us your memories and good wishes to be included in a book we will present this summer to a special faculty member who has worked at Poly for more than 34 years, Stuart Freed. Hired by Mike Babcock in 1984 as the only member of the technical theater department, he later moved into the classroom to teach Wood Design and Ceramics, building our extraordinary ceramics program over the years and designing the studio “as it should be." Freed has taught generations of students about creativity, dexterity, and seeing how beauty unfolds in a piece of clay or wood. We will miss his honorable presence in the studios and on the trails.
If you would like to contribute, please submit any memories, kind words, or photos using this online form. You may also send them to the Alumni OfficeThe deadline for submissions is this Monday, Aug. 6.
