Alumni Association celebrates volunteers and board members

On a beautifully clear summer evening, 40 Alumni Board members and volunteers gathered in Erdman Courtyard on the South Campus to be honored at the Alumni Association’s Annual Appreciation Dinner.
Outgoing Alumni Board President Larry Perkins '95 kicked off the event with an introduction of Head of School John Bracker, who thanked everyone in attendance for their dedication to the Poly community. Bracker discussed the importance of alumni returning to campus and serving as role models to Poly students today, an act fulfilled by each of our alumni volunteers.

After dinner, Perkins announced the new slate of board members for 2015 as well as the proposed committee chairs for the year. He then proudly put forth his nomination for Alumni Board President, Warren Techentin '86. Perkins praised Techentin for his consistent engagement and tireless support of the Board’s mission over the past three years and invited him to accept the nomination. Techentin expressed his gratitude for being recognized as a leader on the Alumni Board and shared his excitement for the coming year. In closing, he thanked departing board members April Danz '91, former President and Nominating Committee Chair Alison Edwards Laster '88, Matt Lawler '99, and Dan Rothenberg '00 for their years of service.
